The Process.

All prints are proofed by the artist and individually made to order using the fine art industry endorsed Iris or Epson Giclée process. Giclée, meaning "spray of ink" in French, uses variable size droplets of archival quality inks/pigments on 100% cotton, bright white, acid-free, mold-made Somerset or Lyson watercolor papers to produce accurate, minutely detailed, museum/gallery quality pieces. The color gamut and resolution of Giclée is considerably superior to lithography making it the the artist's process of choice.

While the image area of each piece is variable, the overall size and price have been standardized to one of two sizes for each print. We try to keep a minimum border of 1½" around the image.

Because each print is carefully hand-made to order, please allow 6 to 8 weeks for shipping.

As you browse the gallery, bear in mind that the thumbnail pictures are limited resolution web images and can not convey the vibrant beauty and fine detail of the actual prints. Each thumbnail is linked to a larger sized picture for increased detail.

We are constantly adding new works to the gallery. You are welcome to order a print of any Michael Green piece you do not find here, to custom size an existing print, add a custom printed verse, or to print on canvas for an additional $100. Some prints may also be available with or without printed verse, at no extra charge. Please contact us directly with inquiries or special orders.

Each print bears an embossed certificate of authenticity to ensure its provenance. These durable works have significantly appreciating value to collectors in the art market, especially the signed and valuable limited editions.

As a final note to protect your investment, the use of a fine art framer skilled in good art conservation techniques is recommeded when framing your print. In Philadelphia, we use and recommend Seven Arts Framing, Inc. You can reach Mr. Chi Sheng Chen, the proprietor, at 215-923-8930. They do museum quality work and are quite reasonably priced.

The Prints.

Limited Edition prints are one-of-a-kind, and feature hand-rendered calligraphic verse with unique hand-painted embellishment and stunning 24K gold leaf edging, created and signed by the artist. They are an accurate contemporary representation of the ancient art of manuscript illumination. These exquisite, original works of art are numbered and limited to a total run of 500.

Signed Edition prints are hand signed by the artist, and individually numbered in an open run.

Open Edition prints are the same high quality print in open run, unsigned.
